Stress and Health

Skin woes, hair loss or sleepless nights? You might need to check your stress!!!

If you are a person who can get stress easily, please take note some useful tips which can  make stress level reduce!!!

What causes stress in modern life?

Most of us experience our days as an emergency situation which requires continuous action without rest. Since there is no time for rest, we will get more and more stressed. The main causes of getting stress are being impatient with others or causing tensions due to psychological pressure, financial troubles, job issues, and relationship conflicts and so on.

What are the consequences of getting stress?

Studies have found that many health problems and stress are related to each other. Health problems related to stress are heart diseases, headaches, depression and anxiety, premature death. Stress is partially to blame for several other common skin problems like psoriasis. Acne is one of the most common stress-induced skin ailments. Actually there is a physiological link between stress-related hormones and acne. Additionally, stress can also worsen hair loss due to an autoimmune disorder.

How can we overcome such kind of issues?

Try some simplest ways to relieve stress, which are described in the following….

  1.  Listening to the music

If you become filled with uncontrollable emotion or have feeling overwhelmed by stressful situations, first of all try to take a break and listen to songs which can make your mind relax. Playing calm music can give positive effect on your brain and body. Moreover, it can lower blood pressure and reduce hormone linked to stress.

   2. Eating right

Stress level and eating properly are closely related. Actually, most of the people today forget to eat well as they have the most work. Sometimes they consume the food and drinks like coffee, cocoa, energy drinks and alcohol. Those kinds of certain food and drinks contain neuro-stimulators like caffeine and theo-bromine, which are proven to heighten stress. That’s why try to avoid eating them.

To get healthier lifestyle, make sure try to eat fresh fruits and vegetables which provide vitamins and minerals that are great for reducing stress. Fish with high levels of omega3 fatty acid have been shown to reduce the symptoms of stress.

    3.    Laugh it off

Laughing releases endorphins which improve mood and decrease     levels of hormones which cause stress. Laughing tricks your nervous system into making you happy.

From yoga and tai chi to mediation, these system of mindfulness comprise physical and mental exercises that prevent from getting stress.

        5.    Doing exercise(even for a minute)

Taking a short walk around your office or simply standing up to stretch during a break at work can give immediate relief in a stressful conditions. Getting your blood moving (great blood circulation) meliorate your mood instantaneously.

        6.    Sleep better

Lack of sleep is one of the main causes of getting stress. Brain and physical body are working during the whole day. And even at night, if you work or watch TV, surfing the internet without sleep, your stress levels become higher and higher. So, make it a point to sleep at least 6 hours a day. Turn the TV off earlier, manage your time and do your best to get into your bed. From my point of view, this is the most effective stress buster on my list.
