2. Eat for good vision

Food which contain nutrients such as omega3 fatty acids, zinc and vitamins C and E can help lead to good eye health. These are the some of the food that you should try to eat for good vision….

  • Green and leafy vegetables,
  • Salmon, tuna and other oily fish
  • Eggs , nuts, beans and other non-meat protein source
  • Oranges and other citric fruits

3. Give your eyes a rest

Spending lot of time at the computer or focusing on something can affect your eyes negatively. That’s why please take the following steps:

  • Use glasses with contrast, glare and eye strain when using a computer
  • Position your computer so that your eyes are level with the top of the monitor.
  • Avoid glare on your computer from lights. Use an anti-glare  screen.
  • Every 20 minutes after using computer, look away 20 feet for 20 seconds. This can help you reduce eyestrain.

4. Clean your hands and contact lens properly

In order to avoid the risk of infection, make sure to wash your hands properly before putting and taking out the contact lenses. Moreover, don’t forget to disinfect contact lens as instructed and replace them as appropriate.

5. Wear protective eye-wear

Sunglasses which can protect your eyes from the sun’s ultraviolet should be chosen. If you wear contact lens, choose the polarized lenses which can reduce glare when driving. Additionally, if your wok is something to do with hazardous or airborne materials, make sure to wear safety glasses or protective goggles.

  1. At first I thought every hour we have to look at green things in some distance. But it says here that every 20 mins, we should look away for 20 secs. Does it only apply for those who use computer a lot? or for everyone?
